OPUS Access

If you would like to check the progress of your admission, financial aid file, or account you may do so online through your OPUS Account. You may also schedule a campus visit event and/or update your address and email information when you visit OPUS under Personal Portfolio.

Any missing items and a description of each will be listed under your To-Do List. Please keep in mind that the To-Do List will also include need-based financial aid missing information once you have begun that application process. It is vital to continue checking your To-Do List throughout the admission process. We may find missing information that is not pertinent to your admission decision, but is critical if you do indeed decide to enroll (i.e. birthplace city or country).

You will be receiving updates via email concerning items that may be missing from your application. However, we encourage you to view your OPUS account for the most up to date information. Make every effort to complete your file as soon as possible if items are missing. Please make sure the email address listed under Personal Portfolio is your most current, as you may not receive vital information in a timely manner without it.

In order to access your OPUS account, please follow these simple steps:

  1. retrieve your network ID and password by following the instructions above.
  2. Login with your network ID and password.
  3. If you have trouble with this process, please email Emory HelpDesk at help@emory.edu or telephone 404-727-7777
    .

Then, download the Learnlink email software.
*Please contact Emory University's HelpDesk at 404-727-7777 connecting to your learnlink account.

  • Your Emory University email address is your personal network ID followed by "@emory.edu." So, it will look something like userid@emory.edu.
  • All incoming freshmen have limited access to Emory's email system.
  • We encourage you to forward your other personal email address(es) and make your learnlink address your primary email.
  • Inside your learnlink account, you have an email inbox and the "Welcome-To-Oxford" conference. Use this to introduce yourself, post your picture, and get to know your future classmates.

Important Note:
All University communications sent via email will be sent to your campus email address. Please review the University's email policies below:

Email is the primary medium for official communication with students at Emory University. Each registered student is assigned an official address by the University. Students are expected to maintain their accounts and check their email regularly so that new mail will be properly received and read. Certain communications may be time-critical. While students may redirect email from their official Campus email address to another address (e.g., @hotmail.com, @aol.com), the University is not responsible for the delivery of email by other service providers.

In addition to the campus email address, applicants and students may choose to capture other email address types within their University Record. The additional types that may be captured include:

  1. Bill Payer: Typically an email address used to communicate billing information to someone other than the student, such as a parent, guardian, trustee or custodian, etc.
  2. Business: Typically an email address used in one's place of work.
  3. Diploma: Collected at the time of degree application and used by the Office of the Registrar to communicate information about diploma status after the student leaves Emory.
  4. Home: Typically a more permanent email address, similar to a permanent home address.
  5. Other: As defined by the applicant or student.

In order to view your campus email address and/or forward your campus email address, you must login into www.opus.emory.edu. Click on Personal Portfolio, and then click on Email Address under Contact Information.
