  • Early Action is a nonbinding program that allows you to learn of your admission decision early in your senior year. 
  • Applicants admitted under the Early Action Program may consider Oxford College their first choice but you will have until May 1 to make a final decision. 
  • You may apply Early Action to Oxford College and to Emory College through the Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision plan.  However, if admitted to Emory College through the Early Decision I or Early Decision II plan, you are required to withdraw your application from Oxford College.
Regular Decision (Fall & Spring)

  • Regular Decision a traditional application plan that is nonbinding. 
  • You may apply Regular Decision to Oxford College and to Emory College through the Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision plan.  However, if admitted to Emory College through the Early Decision I or Early Decision II plan, you are required to withdraw your application from Oxford College.
Oxford Scholars Program (Fall only)

  • If you wish to be considered for academic scholarships at Oxford College, you must apply by the Scholars deadline and select an admission plan of either Early Action or Regular Decision.
  • A complete application is all that is required to be considered for the Oxford Scholars Program, and you may nominate yourself for merit scholarships on the admission application (nomination form is not required).
Rolling Admission (Fall & Spring)

  • Applications postmarked after January 15 for fall semester and November 1 for spring semester will be considered on a rolling basis until the class if filled. 
  • Rolling applications will be evaluated after April 1 for fall and after November 1 for spring, and a decision will be available online and mailed as soon as possible.
Transfer Applicants (Fall & Spring)

  • You may apply for transfer status through the Regular Decision plan, and the same deadline and notification date will apply. 
  • Your admission may be contingent upon receipt of a final college transcript from the previous institution if coursework is in progress at the time of application.  This contingency will be made clear in the acceptance letter, if applicable. 
  • Transfer students from approved colleges may receive credit at Oxford for previous work, provided their performance is creditable and the work consists of acceptable academic college-level courses.
  • To qualify for the associate of arts degree and for continuation at Emory College, transfer students are required to take at least two semesters of residence at Oxford, earning a minimum of thirty-two credit hours and taking a minimum of one physical education course from each of the three physical education areas.

  • This admission plan serves students who wish to take courses at Oxford while still enrolled in high school. 
  • You must have completed your junior year in high school and must follow the same admission procedures as candidates for regular admission. 
  • Candidates must take the SAT I or ACT prior to the application deadline.

  •  Academically exceptional students wishing to enter college after completing the eleventh grade may apply for early admission. 
  • Candidates are expected to complete all requirements for regular admission and meet the same standards of eligibility. 
  • You must also take the SAT I or ACT prior to the application deadline. 
  • A personal interview is highly recommended for early admission candidates.
