Student Development

Into the Streets

The Student Development office has two primary functions:

We help new students make a successful transition from high school to college life here at Oxford. . We do this through PALs (sophomore leaders), New Student Orientation, and Freshman Seminar.  PALs will be your student guides during orientation and will also help co-facilitate a Freshman Seminar class.

We make sure all students have a chance to be involved in rewarding service.  Programs include Bonner Leaders (service based scholarships), Theory Practice Service Learning (class based service experiences), and Volunteer Oxford (volunteer experiences for all students).  Students at Oxford are notoriously devoted to service and we want to make sure there are plenty of opportunities to act on your passion for service.

Student Development is located on the second floor of the Card Student Center (Candler Hall).

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
