Desert Geology

Desert Geology Geology 100N  

This course explores the nature of arid environments. Students learn about the general climatology, geology, and land forms present in deserts. Adaptations by organisms to their environment are an integral focus of this course. Pre-departure sessions include evening lectures followed by an in-depth examination of Big Bend National Park in west Texas.  Credit: Four summer semester hours.
