Through the Office of Academic Affairs, the Pierce Institute funds faculty development projects that seek to improve Oxford's excellence in teaching and the curriculum.Faculty Development Funds for Teaching Excellence

Funded projects focus on Oxford's core educational mission: "Providing an outstanding liberal-arts-intensive education in the critical first two years of Oxford students' undergraduate experience at Emory."

Projects include those that concern ethical issues and social responsibility, interdisciplinary opportunities where students connect ideas, or an experiential context, where knowledge is applied to issues outside the classroom.
