Whether you are a new student planning to enroll at Oxford or a rising sophomore continuing for the new academic year, the instructions that follow will help you complete room selection for Oxford College residence halls.

Getting Started
You may access the online housing application by clicking on the "myhousing" link in the quick links box above or by inserting https://myhousing.emory.edu into your internet browser. You will need your Emory userid and password to access this website.

To complete the housing application, you must agree to the terms and conditions of residence hall living. A printer-friendly copy of the Oxford College Housing Contract can be accessed here. You will be asked to read and indicate your acceptance of these terms before you can enter any particular preferences in room assignment and preferred roommate into the online system. You do not need to send a copy of this contract via postal service unless you are under 18 years of age.

Please note: If you experience any technical difficulties, completely close your internet browser before attempting to log back into the system. This may clear the particular error you are experiencing and allow you to proceed without further difficulties. If you continue to have problems, please email our staff at RES@emory.edu with a detailed description of the error message you are encountering.

Housing Lottery 2013

The Housing Lottery provides rising sophomores and 5th semester students the opportunity to select their Fall 2013 assignment from available space.  The Housing Lottery for Fall 2013 is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2013 (starting at 5:00pm) until Friday, March 29, 2013 (ending at 12:00pm).  The lottery is only open to students who have completed a "2013-2014 Oxford College Second Year" Housing application and are currently enrolled at Oxford for the Spring 2013 semester.  Any rising sophomore or 5th semester student (including re-admitted students and transfer students) will be assigned by the RES office after receiving the student's completed housing application.

Residency Required
The philosophy of Oxford College is that all students benefit significantly from the opportunity to engage fully in the college community. The convenience of living on campus encourages students to take part in evening concerts, theatrical productions, utilize academic resources and get involved in the many clubs and activities that are a part of campus life. For this reason, all students are expected to live on campus.

In some individual circumstances, students may determine the need to request commuter status. For information on the commuter request policy, click here.

Even if you intend to request commuter status, you MUST complete an online housing application and agree to the terms and conditions of residence hall living for each semester in which you are enrolled. If commuter status is approved, you will be assigned to "Commuter Hall" to reflect this. Any commuting student who does not complete a housing application and the commuter request process within the timeframe designated for the academic term may be subject to a registration hold and unable to schedule and/or enroll in courses until this task has been finalized.

Single Rooms
A limited number of single rooms exist on campus. Priority for single rooms are given to those students with Office of Access, Disability Services, and Resources (ADSR) medical approved housing accommodation. Students needing medical accommodations for a single should see our link ADSR Housing Accomodations.

Current Oxford students desiring a single room may place their names on the Summer 2013 Single Wait list for the next academic year by emailing RES@emory.edu.  The waitlist starts on April 1, 2013 (at 5:00pm) ends on August 14, 2013 (at 5:00pm).
