If you have a desire to lead and make a positive difference in the college, community, and the world, Oxford's new Leadership Certificate Program is for you. Leadership experts will help you integrate lessons learned both in and outside the classroom and to further develop your leadership skills while preparing you to assume positions on campus and in the community .
The Oxford College Leadership Certificate Program teaches the essential skills of effective, ethical leadership. Oxford's
faculty and staff, working collaboratively, provide an enriched and transformative learning experience for students with opportunities for learning both within and outside the classroom. Students learn the fundamental principles and practices of good leadership, acquire a greater awareness of issues of social justice, and become more committed to civic engagement and ethical action.

Learn about the power of leadership by enrolling in one of several courses taught by distinguished faculty.
Make a difference by participating in a service project on campus or in the community. Bring a smile to someone's face by tutoring children, nurturing animals, serving the homeless, and more. Challenge yourself, enhance your leadership skills, and make memories that last a lifetime by participating in a fun-filled weekend retreat with either Leadership Oxford (LO) or ExCEL Leadership.
Put your new skills into action and apply for one of many leadership positions on campus, such as RA or PAL. Help your peers gain a better understanding of classroom material by becoming a SI. Tell us about your experience by compiling a leadership portfolio. Describe your leadership activities and obtain letters from faculty and staff outlining your contributions. Keep this portfolio as a tool as you embark upon your next leadership opportunity.
