Religious Life

What is Religious Life?

Many students find themselves in situations which may challenge their faith when away from home for the first time.  Programs and counseling services offered through the chaplain's office support the student during the transition time of the first two years of college.

Respect for all religious traditions is important at Oxford College.  While here, students have the opportunity to participate in service, social and religious programs sponsored by the Interfaith Council.  This council consists of representatives from Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu faiths as well as several different types of Christian religions.  This council organizes religious appreciation events for the college.

The Chaplain works to create an environment for students, faculty and staff conducive to appreciating and celebrating the diverse character of our campus while at the same time encouraging everyone to flourish in their own faith tradition.  All funding supporting the chaplain and the chaplain's programs are through the generous support of the Pierce Institute for Leadership and Community Engagement.
