Oxford College Counseling and Career Services

Welcome to the Oxford College Counseling and Career Center!  Our counselors support the mission of the College by providing services and programs that can assist you in achieving your personal and

academic goals.  We offer a wide variety of services to suit a wide variety students' mental health and academic needs.  We offer individual counseling, couples counseling, and problem solving sessions to help students explore and resolve their personal problems or concerns.  Students seek our help, for example, to learn how to study more effectively, to learn new ways to approach an interpersonal conflict, to learn helpful stategies to cope with stress, or to gain understanding and, hopefully, overcome feelings of anxiety and depression.

The Counseling and Career Center also offers career counseling and assessment services. Students seek our career services to request assistance in deciding a major, choosing a suitable career, finding an internship, and writing or revising resumes and cover letters.

The majority of our services are free.  There is a nominal fee for career assessments.  All other services, however, are provided without cost.  And also know that our counselors strictly abide by ethical and professional standards that protect your confidentiality . Your needs for privacy will be respected!

If you need the services of a psychiatrist and you are an Oxford student, you have the benefit of receiving free, confidential services from the psychiatrists at Emory Student Health Services on the Atlanta campus.  We also provide referrals to students who prefer to receive care off-campus or to students who present with issues that cannot be effectively managed at the Center.
