Office 365 Coming Fall 2012

May 03, 2012

Beginning in the Fall 2012 semester, Emory University Technical Services (UTS) will provide to all students Microsoft Office 365 accounts for email, calendar, and contacts. This cloud-based communication system will provide not only email, but also 25 GB email storage, personal and shared calendars, plus a collaboration tool called Lync which gives you real-time chat capabilities and more. Microsoft web apps will also be available, giving you web-based "light" versions of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.

LearnLink is not going away, only incoming non-LearnLink email to your mailbox will cease. So all your old messages and conferences as you know them will remain and function exactly as they do now. More details about this new serice and how to use Office 365 will be posted over the summer as we plan for this exciting move.
