Commencement Schedule

Friday, May 5, 2017

Interfaith Baccalaureate Service
5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Old Church
Wesley St. at Fletcher St.
Oxford, GA

The baccalaureate service is an Oxford tradition. Coordinated by Oxford’s chaplain, this interfaith celebration of song and prayer represents the many faith traditions of our student body. All graduating students and their families and guests are invited to join this service that lasts approximately one hour.

Old Church is a three-minute walk from campus, going north on Wesley Street. Go two blocks past Haygood Hall, and Old Church will be on your left. By car, go north on Emory Street (Highway 81), turn left on Fletcher Street. Follow Fletcher Street until it intersects with Wesley Street. Old Church will be directly in front of you; police officers will direct you to parking.

Baccalaureate Picnic
6:30 p.m.
Due to inclement weather, the picnic will be held in the Dining Hall instead of the lawn of Haygood residence hall
Immediately following the baccalaureate service all graduating students and their families are invited to dinner with members of the Oxford faculty and staff. Although there’s no cost to graduates or their families to attend the dinner, reservations are required. Make your reservation by calling the Dean's Office at 770-784-8302.
