Student Involvement & Leadership

with SI&L:

Involvement in student organizations or participation in campus programs has rich educational value. Studies show that students involved in activities outside of the classroom perform better academically, develop valuable skills that are transferrable beyond the college setting, and report higher levels of satisfaction with their collegiate experience. Programs overseen by the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership strive to create meaningful experiences for students through the following:

Inspiring Self-Authorship, where students explore, define, and own who they are and what they value

Developing Integrity, through which students are empowered to espouse their values through their daily actions

Fostering Civility, which promotes a greater appreciation for human differences, and

Building Community, which brings students together with common interests in creating lasting memories
