Emily Culbertson, a proud graduate of the University of Georgia in 2002, has distinguished herself as a Senior Director of Financial Aid since 2015. Her journey from student to professional reflects a deep commitment to education and financial aid.

After graduating from the University of Georgia, Emily embarked on a career path that led her to the role of Senior Director of Financial Aid. In this capacity, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership.

Within the Advancement and Alumni relations team, Emily has played a crucial role in fostering relationships and supporting the naming of students to various endowed scholarships. Notably, she personally oversees the selection committee for the Judy Greer scholarship, showcasing her hands-on approach and commitment to the success of scholarship programs and enjoys working with the alumni.

One of Emily's significant contributions is her advisory role in a student financial educational group. Here, she generously dedicates her time and expertise to guide students in financial literacy. Emily's commitment extends beyond the university campus, as she and her team have taken the financial literacy program to schools in Newton County, actively contributing to the education and empowerment of students in the local community.

Emily Culbertson's impact goes beyond her professional accomplishments; she is highly regarded by students as a mentor. When asked what Emily cherishes most about Oxford, her response was “Working at Oxford College in financial aid is incredibly fulfilling. Helping students and their families achieve their dream of attending Emory University brings me great joy. That combined with educating students on the foundations of financial literacy and working in a community of supportive and uplifting colleagues allows me to continually learn and grow. I work with an amazing team, both at Oxford College and at Emory University, which makes my job enjoyable and rewarding even in challenging times."
