Dr. Amanda Phillips is a native Atlantan and a distinguished award winner celebrated for her outstanding achievements in medicine, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. Currently residing in Metro Atlanta with her husband and children, Dr. Phillips has made significant contributions to her community and beyond.
A graduate of Emory University with a Bachelor of Science, Dr. Phillips pursued her medical degree at the University of South Carolina, establishing herself as a practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She serves as a partner at Eagle's Landing Ob/Gyn and has demonstrated her commitment to professional excellence by chairing the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Piedmont Henry Hospital.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Phillips is an accomplished entrepreneur, owning a real estate investment company. Her entrepreneurial spirit extends to her roles on various boards, including Dembure Homes and Haven House, where she has played a vital role in supporting the disabled and victims of domestic violence, respectively.
Actively engaged in improving healthcare standards, Dr. Phillips currently serves as a Senior Peer Reviewer at Piedmont Healthcare, contributing to professional development for enhanced patient safety. Additionally, she founded the Henry County Islamic Center, serving as board Vice-President and treasurer, showcasing her commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive communities.
A dedicated alumna, Dr. Phillips has contributed significantly to Emory University, establishing the "Dr. Amanda Copeland Phillips Endowed Scholarship" in 2019. Her philanthropic endeavors extend to supporting Georgia rural hospitals and paying off student lunch balances in Henry County schools, demonstrating her commitment to education and community welfare. She recently served on the Oxford alumni board.
Dr. Phillips has been recognized for her exemplary community service with multiple awards, including honors from Stockbridge Mayor Anthony Ford, the Elevated Foundation, and Al-Bayinnah Masjid. This year, Dr. Phillips generously donated one of her properties to ICNA Relief to establish a transitional women's home in Atlanta, further exemplifying her dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
