Oxford College of Emory University STARTALK program

Oxford College of Emory University will host an online summer Arabic language immersion program for high school and college students wanting a strong foundation in Arabic language and Arab culture.

Let’s Explore Moroccan Food!

July 7–30, 2021

STARTALK, our online Arabic language immersion program, is designed for students with little or no prior knowledge of the Arabic language. The program provides a strong foundation in Arabic language and Arab culture focusing on the topic of food in the North African country of Morocco.

Daily online immersion sessions allow participants to engage with the language in a more relaxed environment, listening to Arabic music, watching documentaries and shows, and occasionally interacting with native speakers of Arabic virtually.

By the end of the program participating students will have the linguistic and cultural skills to interact in Arabic on basic, everyday topics.

Our program is limited to 28 students. Both high school and college students are eligible to apply.
