Travis Jordan, a seasoned marketing executive, will join Oxford College of Emory University as Senior Director of Communications and Marketing later this month.
“Travis stood out for his strong leadership experience and a proven track record in designing comprehensive marketing, branding, communications, advertising, and public relations campaigns,” says Oxford Dean Badia Ahad. “As Oxford completes its new strategic plan and a comprehensive branding study that will guide the next five years and beyond, Travis will be well-poised to help elevate Oxford’s dynamic programs to national and global audiences.”
Jordan is an award-winning marketing professional with a proven record of leadership and innovation, having served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Miami Dade College (MDC) and as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Western Carolina University (WCU). At MDC, he launched a brand study to strategically elevate the college’s visibility and spearheaded key initiatives, including the creation of a communications and marketing council to foster cross-departmental collaboration, AI for Marketing training for staff, and thought leadership development for faculty and administration. At WCU, Jordan developed and launched the Live Western brand campaign, a large-scale marketing initiative that significantly boosted the university’s appeal and resulted in the third-largest freshman class in WCU’s history. Additionally, he integrated AI-driven web personalization within the Slate enrollment funnel and achieved exponential growth in social media engagement, expanding outreach to prospective students.
"Joining Oxford College is a remarkable opportunity to work under the inspiring leadership of Dean Badia Ahad,” says Jordan. “Together, we’re committed to building a powerful brand that highlights Oxford College’s distinctive programs and amplifies the remarkable stories of students and faculty as they shape the future to create lasting impact."
