A Night Out with Oxford in Atlanta 2025

A Night Out with Oxford on July 15 was more than just an evening of food and fellowship; it was a celebration of connection and shared purpose.
Held at Druid Hills Golf Club, the event featured powerful remarks from Dean Badia Ahad that left alumni energized about the future of Oxford College.
Dean Ahad shared an exciting vision for Oxford’s future through the Oxford 2030 plan, designed to help students turn potential into purpose. Key initiatives include expanding need-based financial support to ensure that every student can access opportunities, such as internships, research, global learning, and summer academic programs. The college also aims to fully endow the Center for Pathways and Purpose, broaden mentorship and tailored resources for all students, especially first-generation students, and introduce a pre-college summer program that builds early confidence, community, and academic engagement. Additionally, an alumni storytelling initiative has been established to highlight Oxford graduates making a difference across a wide range of careers.
As Dean Ahad begins her third year as Dean of Oxford College, she expressed gratitude to the alumni for their contagious generosity, which uniquely enhances the Oxford experience. The alumni’s generosity has opened doors for over 432 students to access $1.6 million in scholarships, mentorships, internships, global learning experiences, and more opportunities.
Behind every initiative is a student whose life is being generously transformed, and that’s what makes Oxford such a powerful and enduring community. It’s also what defines our alumni as Oxford material through and through: committed, connected, and constantly investing in the success of the next generation.
