Welcome families and friends to Family Weekend 2026!
Each year, Family Weekend brings students and families together in celebration at Oxford.
Oxford Family Weekend gives family and friends a taste of college life for their student in a weekend equal parts fun and informational. From game night, to student performances, to the Fun Run and Picnic on the Quad, families enjoy this uniquely Oxford event, which includes a chance to choose your own adventure while exploring the campus and the surrounding community.
This year, Oxford College Family Weekend is is October 23-25, 2026. We begin activities in late afternoon on Friday, October 23, and most of our programming will be on Saturday, October 24.
Registration for Family Weekend is free and required for attendees so we can plan accordingly. Registration for Oxford College Family Weekend opens September 9.

Oxford’s Fall Play: Heroes of the Fourth Turning
The fall play will be Heroes of the Fourth Turning by Will Arbery. Shows will take place October 22, 23, and 24 at 7:30pm and Oct 24 at 2:30pm in Tarbutton Theater.

FAMILY WEEKEND WELCOME RECEPTION | 3:00 p.m.
Family Weekend will begin with music, appetizers and mingling in the afternoon at the Oxford Student Center. Please feel free to connect with other Emory Oxford families while you explore the space that your loved one's call home.
BASKETBALL EXHIBITION | 5:00 p.m.
Join the Oxford College basketball team and Coach Rodrick Stubbs for a fun evening of school spirit in the Williams Gym with a basketball exhibition!
Screen on the Green | 8:30 p.m.
Join us under the stars for a cozy evening on the Quad! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and family for a magical night of cinema, popcorn, and community. As the sun sets over Oxford College, the green transforms into an open-air theater—perfect for relaxing and enjoying a favorite film in the fresh fall air.
Saturday, October 24
family weekend fun run/walk 2026 | 8:30 a.m.
As part of Oxford College Family Weekend, join the Center for Healthful Living on Saturday, October 25th, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. for a one-mile Family Weekend Walk/Run. Participants may take part in a meditative walk with thoughtful prompts provided or run the mile at their own pace. The event concludes with refreshments before heading into a full day of activities across campus.

Family Weekend Welcome & Introduction to OxWell | 10:00 a.m.
Join the Associate Dean of Campus Life in the Greer Forum for a Welcome that will last about 45 minutes as we kick off an exciting and memorable Family Weekend at Oxford College of Emory University. This special event is designed to warmly welcome families and provide an overview of the weekend’s activities. Enjoy light refreshments and mingle with other families.
Picnic on the Quad | 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy a meal in the heart of Oxford and hang out with Oxford Family, faculty, staff, alumni and students.
Family Weekend Student Showcase | 12:30 p.m.
Celebrate the diverse talents and accomplishments of our students and student organizations at the Family Weekend Student Showcase.
Choose Your Own Adventure | 2:00-3:00 P.M. & 3:00-4:00 p.m.
The afternoon is designed to allow you access to sessions led by our very own Oxford professors and instructors or to let you explore Oxford College your way. Session options and details will be provided closer to the event.
